"Summer Evening" Paper Print

This is a painting of a scene I captured on my digital camera while stopped at a red light in Los Angeles. I noticed this group of people having dinner together, and I couldn't help but imagine what they were talking about. The word "sonder" means the realization that every individual has their own complex story, and I wanted to capture the wonder of this feeling. The goldfish floats in the sky, symbolizing the insignificance and miraculous nature of the human experience. Despite the different paths that led us there, we all shared that brief memory of a summer evening.

Printed on 100 lb. matte paper with a white border. Each print is hand signed and packaged.

Previously displayed in Denver Art Museum for winning a Gold Key in the regional Scholastic Art Competition.
